Candace Quarrels- singer actress who recently finished starring in the nine time Tony Award winning musical "The Book of Mormon" national tour, where she played the role of Nabulungi.

Born in Memphis, TN and raised in West Memphis, AR, Candace has been involved in theatre for as long as she can remember.  With urging from her parents and a few select teachers she began taking private voice lessons with Dr. Sandra Franks of Rhodes College, at the age of 13. From there, Candace began attending Clark Opera Memphis' Summer Conservatory every summer where she proceeded to delve into classical music.  This then led to a passion for musical theatre.

Candace later attended college at Belmont University in Nashville, TN where she studied Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance.  There, in the middle of her college education, she was hired to join the National Tour of The Book of Mormon.

Candace is currently auditioning in the city and studying voice with  Broadway's vocal coach Liz Caplan.
